The railways re-opening for the 2018 season will be on Good Friday 30th March 2018. This will include the addition of the extension, which will be formally opened.
The day’s itinerary will be as follows;
10:30 Society members will be preparing the site for the days activities.
12:45 – 13:00 Official guests for the opening ceremony will arrive .
The formal opening ceremony will take place at 13:00, whereby Crowborough Town Mayor (Councillor Peter Ellefsen) will unveil the commemorative plaque. Followed by cutting the ribbon and the Mayor and official guests board three steam hauled trains to experience the new extended track.
13:45 Opening ceremony trains stop and preparations made for regular public service trains to commence.
14:00 – 1700 Public train service.
