Halloween Scream Trains 2025

Halloween Scream Trains – Friday 31st October

Halloween is coming to Crowborough Miniature Railway for yet another year!

Dare to ride the Scream Train as thick fog descends as you pass around the eerie lake and into the spooky trees! Watch out for the haunted graveyard – there’s little light to see anything hiding under the bridge!

If you’re not scared, then be the scary and come in your best fancy dress! Why not combine with local trick or treating?

Train rides on Halloween Night; Friday 31st October, from 5pm until 8pm.

Fares; £1.50 Single Ride, £4 Evening Rover – unlimited rides all evening. Please note ticket holder must alight from the train and re-join the queue each ride.

Quiet Halloween Trains – Saturday 1st November

A quiet evening session free from Halloween theming; nothing scary & no effects or spooky music.

Ideal for young children and those who would rather experience simply riding the miniature railway in the dark with no intensive additional worries!

We don’t anticipate large crowds and so expect queues to be much shorter than the Halloween Scream Trains on Friday 31st October.

Fares for this event; £1 Single Ride, £3 Evening Rover – unlimited rides all evening. Please note ticket holder must alight from the train and re-join the queue each ride.

Fireworks Display 5th November 2025

This annual event sets the fireworks display to a music theme and this year’s exciting music theme will be Disney!

There will be hot food & drinks to enjoy before the firework display starts. At 7.15pm there will be a welcome from the Town Mayor and the lighting of the Beacon, followed by the display at 7:30pm. With this year’s exciting theme, you can expect another truly spectacular display!

The Crowborough Miniature Railway will be open and offering train rides from 6.00pm until crowds disperse, normally about 8pm.

Parking

Please note that parking is limited at the recreation ground and visitors are advised to use the free car parking in the town centre. Once the carpark is full, which typically is at least half an hour before the event starts, the carpark closes and no vehicle movement will be permitted until after the display finishes.

Disabled Access

Blue badge holders can park in the Pétanque carpark on the night, which can be found on the right-hand side of the main drive as you come in to Goldsmiths (next to the mini-railway).  Please note that this will be on a first come first served basis and it does fill up, so please arrive early if you would like to make use of this disabled parking area.  From this point there is a hard surface path onto the running track from the top carpark entrance – next to the campsite entrance. From there, above the running track, the hard surface continues along the hedge-line where you will be able to enjoy the fireworks and access the refreshments if you would like to.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any disabled access onto the grass, and it will not be suitable for wheelchair users

Entrance to the Firework Display is FREE however, we will be collecting donations for the Mayor’s charities, so please give generously to these important, local charities on the night. Alternatively you can donate online at any time.
